No new lead in Lodhi Colony hit-and-run case
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The police have had no new lead in the sensational hit-and-run case in which four persons, including two Delhi Police personnel, were seriously injured by a Maruti Esteem car in Lodhi Colony here over the weekend.
However, the police have received a number of phone calls from different parts of the Capital informing them about a damaged blue coloured Maruti Esteem following the announcement of a cash reward of Rs.25,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the culprit.
“We have been receiving a number of calls regarding damaged blue Maruti Esteem cars since the announcement of the reward. Teams have been sent out to the address given by the callers, but no breakthrough has been made,” said a police officer.
Some confusion
However, the colour of the car involved in the accident has added to the confusion with an eyewitness claiming that it was a white Maruti Esteem, while the police are looking out for a blue vehicle based on a bumper part found at the accident site.
