Poor pass percentage in suppl. exam

CUTTACK: The results of Matriculation supplementary examination held in September was declared on Wednesday. Out of 70,764 who appeared the examination, 21,143 (30.47 per cent) candidates have passed the examination successfully.

While only 248 students passed in first division, 3,247 got second division and 13,061 made it in third division.

Results of 194 students are kept withheld while 1,185 students are booked for malpractice, sources said.

A total of 521 candidates also passed the examination in correspondence course, who appeared the test in as many as 111 schools across the State, sources added.
