HASSAN: Inaugurating the Samudaya Bhavan at the Bharat Scouts and Guides building on the occasion of the World Scouts Centenary celebrations here on Wednesday, Suttur Math pontiff Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji lauded the services of the Scouts and Guides, terming them models worth emulating. Addressing the gathering, which included Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls, the seer said the Scouts had now spread worldwide. They had been extremely instrumental in inculcating the spirit of discipline among children and youth. “The activities of the Scouts and Guides are highly relevant as they help mould children to become responsible citizens,” he said.
