Srinagar: A teenaged girl died while her elder brother was battling for life after allegedly consuming poisonous substance in Anantnag district over the weekend. The duo identified as 19-year-old Mohammad Iqbal Wani and his 17 year-old sister Sami Jan consumed some poisonous substance at their Mir Maidan residence, police said. They were rushed to Soura Medical Institute in Srinagar where the girl was pronounced dead by the doctors. The condition of Wani was stated to be critical. He said the motive behind their taking such an extreme step was not known immediately.
