PANAJI: The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), body which was studying the viability of airport projects, has suggested that two international airports can be viable in Goa. The high-powered committee, set up by the Union Government to study the proposed Mopa international airport projects in Goa, will meet soon to examine the ICAO report submitted to him recently, said Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Tuesday. Opinion is divided on whether the State should have a new airport or it should expand the Dabolim airport. Mr. Kamat said that though the ICAO report was yet not examined fully, it had inter alia suggested that in spite of expansion and modernisation, the Dabolim airport could get saturated by 2030.
