Special itinerary for Heritage on Wheels

Jaipur: With a view to attract more tourist in the festive season of New Year, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has announced a special packages and rescheduled itinerary of Heritage on Wheels. RTDC Managing Director R. K. Saini said a special charter train with special itinerary of Heritage on Wheels is scheduled to set out on Dec 30.

Under new itinerary the train which earlier used to cover Jaipur-Bikaner-Shekhawati region would now first go from Jaipur to Shekhawati and then Bikaner.

RTDC Manager, Delhi J.P. Pathak said that the old Palace on wheels is now being run on meter gauge between Jaipur to Bikaner under the name Heritage on Wheels taking tourists on a journey to unexplored regions of Rajasthan.

The train which has a capacity of 72 berths is designed with nine fully air-conditioned luxurious saloons, two dining pantry cars and one bar-cum-lounge on the terms of Palace on Wheels and charges a huge sum of six hundred dollar per tourist. — PTI
