DEHRA DUN: The appointment of Congress leader Lakshmi Rana as a member of the State Consumer Disputes and Redressal Commission for a second term has led to much resentment among the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres who have been eyeing such posts ever since the party came to power in March this year. “It is shocking that a leader of the Congress has been re-nominated instead of appointing one of the large number of party workers who had worked for its victory over the years,” said BJP youth leader Ravinder Jugran. Mr. Jugran hoped Chief Minister Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri would immediately withdraw the appointment order and replace Ms. Lakshmi Rana by a BJP worker.
