“Monitor probe against Tytler”

NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to personally monitor the fresh CBI probe against Congress MP Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

Accusing the CBI of trying to protect certain people involved in the massacre because of pressure from the Government, Dr. Vardhan said: ``As Dr. Singh himself belongs to the Sikh community, if the Sikhs do not get justice during his tenure then their trust in the law will be diminished.”
