PDS rice seized, four arrested

NAMAKKAL: An official team on Tuesday seized 500 kg of rice and 50 litres of kerosene meant for distribution under the Public Distribution System and arrested four persons in this connection.

The officials, during raids and vehicle checks in Komarapalayam, found 10 bags of rice and 50 litres of kerosene hoarded in houses. Kumar, Maniamma, Perumal and Raja were arrested. — Staff Reporter
