IDG Ventures invests in 3D Compression

BANGALORE: IDG Ventures India, a $150 million early stage technology venture capital fund, has invested an undisclosed amount in 3D Compression Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, a start-up incubated by Stanford University and Indian Institute of Science. 3D has patented virual interactive solid (VIS) technology with applications in automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment manufacturing and offshore drilling sectors, IDG Ventures said.
