Third day’s play washed out

Bangalore: Overnight rains and a persistent drizzle that continued all through the day, washed out the third day’s play between Karnataka and Delhi in a Ranji Trophy super league Pool A match in progress at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

At 2.30 p.m., umpires S.J. Phadkar and Alok Bhattacharjee called off play as the rains continued and the covers were firmly on.

Earlier in the match, Delhi had posted 538 in its first innings. — Principal Correspondent
