Gita Jayanthi today

VIJAYAWADA: Special programmes are being organised on the occasion of Gita Jayanthi by Chinmaya Mission and ISKCON here on Thursday.

Scholars will recite the full version of the Bhagawad Gita at Chinmaya Dhyana Mandiram, Ramavarapadu, and Chinmaya Vihara, Moghalrajapuram at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Special puja will be conducted for Lord Krishna. The birth anniversary of Tapovan Maharaj, the successor of Chinmaynanada, will also celebrated. Bhajans, chanting of the Gita and Gita yagnam are being conducted by ISKCON at TTD Kalyanamandapam as part of the Gita Jayanthi celebrations.
