BANGALORE: A team of Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday raided a house in the city and recovered Rs. 1.1 crore and Rs. 10 lakh worth foreign currency.

According to a statement from the department, the officials recovered incriminating documents pointing out the involvement of the house resident in hawala transactions. The resident was involved in transactions pertaining to various countries including the U.K. and Singapore. The officials apprehended a Kerala resident who had come to collect money for the person involved in hawala racket in Kozhikode, the statement said.
