‘Close illicit liquor units’

BANGALORE: Bangalore Urban District Deputy Commissioner M.A. Sadiq had directed the Excise Department officials to close down illicit liquor units in the district and take necessary steps to curb these activities. Presiding over a meeting to review the steps taken to implement the ban on manufacture and sale of illicit liquor in the State here on Monday, Mr. Sadiq directed the officials, in the background of ensuing elections in the State, to prepare an action plan to curb these activities. – Staff Reporter
