RTC union to serve strike notice today

HYDERABAD: The National Mazdoor Union (NMU), which is the recognised union of APSRTC, will serve a notice on the management on Thursday informing its decision to go on an indefinite strike from January 3 in protest against hiring of 1,500 private buses. The union working president M. Nageswara Rao and other leaders told reporters here on Wednesday that the move of the management to hire the fleet was aimed at privatising the organisation. –Special Correspondent
