New Delhi: An estimated 67 per cent of the 44.77 lakh voters exercised their franchise on Wednesday in the second phase of elections in Himachal Pradesh covering 65 constituencies.

The figure was likely to go up as information was awaited from many polling stations, Deputy Election Commissioner R. Balakrishnan told reporters here. “The polling was peaceful and orderly and no major incident was reported.”

Counting of votes would be held on December 23.
