Joshi and Jadhave shine

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ajinkya Joshi (88 not out) and Rohit Jadhave (29) helped Maharashtra gain the edge over Mumbai on the second day of the final of the all-India under-22 tournament for the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy at the Port stadium here on Wednesday.

The two added 20 more runs to their overnight stand of 64 for the eighth wicket to help Maharashtra score 277 in its first innings. Mumbai finished the day at 162 for six. Anand Singh is going strong on 84 (10x4).

The scores: Maharashtra 277 in 93.4 overs (Ajinkya Joshi 88 n.o.) vs. Mumbai 162 for six in 67.4 overs (Anand Singh 84 batting, Siddhartha Chidnis 40, Rohit Jadhave four for 56). — Special Correspondent
