Chennai: After a wash-out on Tuesday, only 41 minutes of play was possible on a rainy Wednesday, the third day of the Tamil Nadu-Rajasthan Ranji Trophy Group ‘A’ super league match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The host, resuming at 302 for three in the afternoon, lost M. Vijay (overnight 112) for a well-made 123 (255b, 11x4, 2x6). The opener was caught and bowled by left-arm spinner Gajendra Singh. Tamil Nadu was 324 for four — R. Srinivasan (30) and S. Suresh Kumar (4) were at the crease — in its first innings when fresh downpour forced the cricketers into the pavilion. For whatever little play that was possible, the ground-staff deserves credit. The scores: Tamil Nadu — 1st innings: A. Mukund c Jhalani b Nisan 7, M. Vijay c & b Gajendra 123, S.
