Three houses looted
NEW DELHI: Eight unidentified men looted three houses at Khajoori Khas here on Wednesday and made off with cash and jewellery.
According to the police, the armed men stormed into the houses in Badarpur village bordering Uttar Pradesh well past midnight. The men introduced themselves as policemen to the villagers and looted three families at gun-point. They made off with over Rs. 2 lakh in cash, jewellery and bond papers. They also shot one Mohammed Ali in the stomach when he offered resistance.
The villagers informed the police around 3 a.m. The police took Mohammed Ali to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital from where he was later shifted to a trauma centre. His condition was said to be serious.
