Animation film on Lord Iyappan

Chennai: The story of Lord Iyappan of Sabarimala has been told by several filmmakers in various languages. But, for the first time the story is being told through animation in ‘Manikandan’.

The film covers the deity’s life from birth, and also looks at stories related to the God.

It will also cover the 41 days fast and the significance of the 21 steps.

Music director Ilaiyaraja has scored the music for the film.

The story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Krishnakumar, and the film has been directed by Regi Syne.
