Elected Bar Association chief

PUDUCHERRY: Advocate M. Nakkeeran has been elected president of the Pondicherry Bar Association for two years from 2008. Elections for selecting the office-bearers of the association were held on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the office-bearers who were chosen are as follows: V. Usha alias Shyamala is vice-president, M. S. Maruthu Pandian is secretary and P. Thanigaivelu is treasurer. The four persons elected for the post of joint secretary are K. Balaji, S. Dharmalingam, L. Rajendran and Indra Josephine Shakila.

Members of the Executive Committee are A. Arul Khosh, B. Aroul Coumar, S. Hemambujam, R. Latchouminarayan, B. Muruganantham, B. Narayana Kumar, D. Pradish Irudayaraj, S. Sivakumar and B. Sudha, the release said.
