Examination centre: Candidates who have opted for Government Sanskrit College as the centre for the first year B.Sc. computer science/BCA regular and supplementary examinations of the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) beginning December 22 should get the hall ticket and write the examination at Mar Ivanios College, Nalanchira.

Contact classes: Contact classes for the students of the first year M.Sc. computer science (2007-09) course of the IDE will be held at various centres from December 22. Students should bring along their identity card.

B.Sc. nursing: The first year B.Sc. nursing examinations (new and old scheme) scheduled for December 31 and January 2, 2008, will now be held on January 11 and January 14, 2008. There is no change in the examination time or in the centres.

Afsal-ul-ulma: The first round of contact classes for students of the first year BA Afsal-ul-ulma course offered by the IDE will be held from December 26 to 29, while the second round classes will be held from January 2 to 5, 2008, at the IDE, Karyavattom. Classes will begin at 9.30 a.m. The last date for submitting the second instalment of tuition fee (Rs.500) is December 30.

Computer science: Examination forms for the third semester M.Sc. computer science examinations of the IDE are available at the respective study centres.

PGDEPMA: The examinations of the 2006-7 batch of the PGDEPMA course of the IDE will begin on January 8, 2008. Completed application forms can be submitted without fine till December 27 and with a fine of Rs.50 till December 29.

Criminology course: Applications have been invited for the postgraduate certificate course in criminology and criminal justice administration offered by the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension. The minimum qualification for the six-month course is a recognised degree. Priority will be given to those with a degree in law. The last date for submitting applications is December 31. Yoga and meditation: There are a few vacancies for the certificate course in yoga and meditation offered by the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension (CACEE). The fee for the three-month course is Rs.2,100. Those who are interested in getting admission should contact the CACEE director (Ph: 0471 2302523).

BASLP: The results of the third year BASLP examinations held in May have been declared. The first rank goes to Priyanka Suresh. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till December 31.

BSMS results: The results of the third BSMS examinations held in October have been declared. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till January 4, 2008.
