Two tanks breach in Tiruvannamalai

TIRUVANNAMALAI: Two irrigation tanks breached in Tiruvannamalai districtb - the Kayambattu tank and Thukkapettai tank in Chengam taluk - following heavy rain on Wednesday.

Collector Satyabrata Sahoo visited Kayambattu and inspected the damage caused to five houses following the collapse of a culvert.

He told Chengam tahsildar Sivaraj to immediately provide flood-relief materials to the affected families.

Later, the Collector visited Thukkapettai and inspected the breach in the tank.
