Railways announces special trains

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate the following special trains to clear extra rush of passengers.

Tiruchirapalli — Chennai Egmore Specials: Train No 0630 will leave Tiruchirapalli at 9.30 p.m. on December 22, 29, January 5 and 12 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No 0629 will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on December 27, January 3, 10 and 17 and reach Tiruchirapalli at 5.45 a.m. the next day.

Chennai Egmore — Nagercoil Specials: Train No 0649 will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.15 p.m. on December 23, 30, January 6 and 13 and reach Nagercoil at 2.15 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No 0650 will leave Nagercoil at 7.40 p.m. on December 24, 31 and January 7 and 14 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 9.30 a.m. the next day.

Chennai Egmore — Tuticorin Specials: Train No 0685 will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on December 25, January 1, 8 and 15 and reach Tuticorin at 12.15 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No 0686 will leave Tuticorin at 9.15 p.m. on December 26, January 2, 9 and 16 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 10 a.m. the next day.

Chennai Central — Trivandrum Specials: Train No 0657 will leave Chennai Central at 9.45 p.m. on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays from December 22 to January 12 and reach Tiruvandrum at 4.30 p.m. the next day.

In the return direction, Train No 0658 will leave Trivandrum at 8 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from December 23 to January 13 and arrive at Chennai Central at 12.30 p.m. the next day.

Chennai Egmore — Trivandrum Specials: Train No 0659 will leave Chennai Egmore at 3 p.m. on December 27, January 3, and 10 and reach Trivandrum at 7 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No 0660 will leave Trivandrum at 10.30 a.m. on December 28, January 4 and 11 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 4.15 a.m. the next day.

Advance reservation will commence on December 21, according to a railway press release.
