NDPL to provide on-the-spot power solutions to consumers
|
NEW DELHI: North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) is going to launch a forum for registering grievances of consumers in its area of operation.
The “Personal Hearing Forum” will be launched this Monday to provide consumers on-the-spot solution for electricity-related grievances.
The forum will be open to all consumers who feel that their complaints are pending or wish to discuss the response further from December 24 to February 19, 2008.
Independent panel
NDPL officials said on Thursday that to make the forum transparent and accountable, it would be chaired by an independent power experts’ committee and supported by senior NDPL officials. The forum will, however, not take up issues related to direct theft or complaints which are pending in any of the regulatory or judicial forum.
“The personal hearing forms for attending the forum are available at NDPL’s consumers care centres and can also be downloaded from the website www. ndpl.com. Consumers can submit details of their pending connections, billing and metering related issues at the consumer care centres at least seven days prior to the chosen interaction date,” said an NDPL official.
