Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: The Supplyco’s Christmas markets started functioning at 28 major centres from Thursday. They are at Punalur, Pathanamthitta, Kanjirapally, Changanassery, Pala, Malapally, Tiruvalla, Ranni, Thodupuzha, Alappuzha, Thiruvambady, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, Kothamangalam, Kochi, Palakkad, Mannarkkad, Alathur, Nilambur, Vadakara, Kannur, Thalassery, Taliparamba, Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery and Mananathavady. They are functioning attached to the Supplyco Supermarkets and Labham Markets and will sell spices and pulses at Maveli Store prices. They are in addition to the Christmas People’s Bazars functioning at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode. Special rice counters have been opened at the Christmas People’s Bazars and markets to sell rice at Rs.14 per kg for parboiled rice and Rs.13.50 for raw rice. Christmas specialities like cake and bakery items will also be available in these outlets. All Maveli Stores, Supermarkets and Labham markets of the Supplyco will function as Christmas mini-fairs from December 21 to 24.
