KOCHI: Former additional tahsildar of Devikulam M.I. Ravindran has demanded that an investigation be conducted into the issues pertaining to the controversial land deal in the name of the former Chief Minister P.K. Vasudevan Nair in Munnar. Mr. Ravindran said at a press conference here on Thursday that the attempt to cancel the ‘pattayam’ of the land had ulterior motives. The veracity of the signatures of Vasudevan Nair, found in the application, should be ascertained. Fingerprint experts should examine them, he said. No objectionThe pattayam was given after due official procedures and no objections had been raised in the past. Hence, the present action would have to be substantiated. Officials should not be made scapegoats.
