‘TDP resorting to false promises’
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has charged Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu of making a spate of promises that were termed ‘impossible’ by him when he was the Chief Minister.
APCC spokesperson N. Tulasi Reddy, at a press conference here on Thursday, said the previous TDP government had failed to implement the poll promises that it had made on the eve of the 1994 and 1999 elections. He reminded the TDP chief that during the 1999 elections, he had promised to create corpus fund to stabilise the prices of foodgrains, construct seven lakh pucca houses, issue white ration cards to all eligible persons, provide one crore jobs and create of 25-lakh additional ayacut.
