Different rules

BANGALORE: While speed governors are not mandatory in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Goa, the rule is being partially enforced in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

In Kerala, speed governors are mandatory for heavy goods vehicles and passenger vehicles and school buses. Tourist taxis are not covered under the rule. The gadget is mandatory for certain categories of transport vehicles in the districts of Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad City in Andhra Pradesh.
