Petitions challenging GOs on Music Academy dismissed
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has dismissed all five writ petitions that challenged Government Orders issued by the Tamil Nadu government in connection with the administration of the Music Academy, Chennai.
A Division Bench, comprising Justice Prafulla Kumar Misra and Justice R. Banumathi, passed the order on Thursday.
The petitions challenged the Government Orders condoning the delay in filing documents and filing amendments to bylaws. One GO said that as the 1979 bylaws had been filed and registered with the District Registrar, they could be taken on record.
A copy of the judgment is likely to be ready in a few days.
