NEW ARRIVAL: A Cuvier’s dwarf caiman hatchling that hatched on December 6 at the Madras Crocodile Bank near Chennai. This croc baby is one of a group of six hatchlings from a clutch of eggs laid by a dwarf caiman brought to Chennai from Denmark in 2001. According to the Croc Bank, this is the first captive breeding of this species in South Asia.
