Two killed in accidents

BANGALORE: Two pedestrians, including a 11-year-old boy, were killed in road accidents in the city since Wednesday night.

The police said Oblesh (11) was killed on the spot after a lorry ran over him while he was crossing Hosur Road with his father on Thursday. The accident occurred around 10.30 a.m. near the Biocon unit. Oblesh’s father Hanumanthappa, who had a miraculous escape, watched in horror as the lorry mowed his son, the police said. The Hebbugodi traffic police have registered a case.

In the other accident, Rathnamma (55) was killed after a goods vehicle knocked her down on Bannerghatta Road on Wednesday night. The police said Rathnamma was a resident of Devegowda Layout.

Falls to death

Girijamma (28), a construction worker, was killed after she fell from the second floor of a building under construction in Sooladevanahalli police station limits on Wednesday.
