Silver ‘chatram’ offered

A devotee from Hyderabad presented a ‘chatram’ (umbrella) made of silver to goddess Kanakadurga atop Indrakeeladri on the auspicious Vaikuntha Ekadasi day on Thursday. Weighing 10 kg, the chatram is estimated to cost about Rs. 2 lakhs. Ram Singh, a businessman from Hyderabad, visited the temple along with his family and presented the article to the goddess.
