Student suffers burns during sports event

Guwahati: A class X student of a private school here suffered burn injuries when the flame of a torch she was carrying erupted accidentally during a sports event of the school on Wednesday.

The injured student, Sangita Choudhury, was rushed to a private hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

Condition stable

Doctors said she had 25 per cent burns, but her condition was stable.
