The mart will carry over 10,000 products Company has plans to go to other cities NEW DELHI: Notwithstanding its somewhat shaky foray into retail trade in some parts of the country, Reliance Retail is unshaken and has decided to launch a new format under the brand name ‘Reliance Super’ that will provide virtually all kinds of services, including consumer goods, healthcare products, groceries, footwear and readymade clothes under one roof. The company has already opened its first Reliance Super store in Amritsar this month and has plans to go to other cities. The launch of Reliance Super comes close on the heels of the launch of somewhat controversial Reliance Fresh stores, followed by Reliance Mart, Reliance Digital, Reliance Trendz, Reliance Footprint, Reliance Wellness, Reliance Jewels and Reliance Timeout. The Reliance Super stores would be spread over an area of around 10,000-15,000 sq. ft. and would provide shoppers a never before experience. The Mini mart will carry a range of over 10,000 products catering to the entire family.Shoppers will have the option to choose from a wide array of products in every category ranging from fresh produce, food and grocery, home care products apparel and accessories, non-food FMCG products, consumer durables and IT, automotive accessories, lifestyle product, footwear and much more. Over and above this, Reliance Super will sell fine jewellery and fashion jewellery and house health and wellness products. Commenting on the launch of this new format, Raghu Pillai, President and CEO (Operations and Strategy), Reliance Retail, said, “The launch of Reliance Super is yet another step by Reliance Retail towards providing an international shopping experience to all our customers at unmatched affordability, guaranteed quality and choice of products and services.” He said Reliance Super marks the achievement of another milestone in the company’s effort to unleash a retail revolution in India.
