Arbuzov triumphs

MUMBAI: Andrei Arbuzov, World No. 15, neutralised the loss of one race by winning the next two against Germany’s Tino Ellegast for a 2-1 margin in best of three finals at the Provogue Mumbai International Match Race 2007, held off the waters at H20 complex, Chowpatty, on Thursday.

India’s R. Mahesh lost to Russia’s E. Nikiforov in the race for the third place.

The results (best of three finals): Andrei Arbuzov (Rus) bt Ellegast Tino (Ger) 2-1.

Third place: E. Nikiforov (Rus) bt R. Mahesh (Ind) 1-0. — Special Correspondent
