RVNL, SAIL sign pact

Rourkela: Five lakh tonnes of imported coking coal will be transported per annum using the Paradip-Haridaspur railway line by the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) as per agreement. A traffic guarantee agreement was signed yesterday with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under the Ministry of Railways and the SAIL for transportation of an assured volume of five lakh tonnes imported coking coal, RSP sources said here today.

The company will also avail reduced freight rates for some destinations. - PTI
