Association threatens agitation

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry State Government Employees Central Federation has demanded the territorial administration to withdraw their decision to open separate public accounts.

A release from general secretary of the Federation P. Lakshumanaswami said the decision to open separate accounts for the Union Territory would cause “severe financial crisis.” He said that after a separate account was opened the government would be compelled to mobilise internal resource to meet expenditure. The Federation would launch an agitation if the government failed to withdraw its decision, he said.
