Applications invited from disabled persons

Krishnagiri: The District Disabled and Rehabilitation Office has invited applications from disabled persons to avail themselves of free tri-cycles and wheel chairs under a special scheme. According to a Collectorate release, individuals above 18 years with the ability to use their hands well are eligible to apply for tri-cycles.

They should not have received tri-cycles under any other government scheme for the last five years. The annual income of the applicants should not exceed Rs. 30,000. The individuals must possess an identity card declaring their nature of disability. Interested candidates should submit their application along with full size photograph, copy of National Identity Card and income certificate to the District Collector, the release has said.
