HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has said that he was indebted for life to Kadapa for making a big person. “It is my privilege to be born in Kadapa district and I can not forget the love and affection showered by the people of the district,” Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy remarked. Speaking to officials before leaving for Kadapa to attend the 200 years celebration of the historic district here on Friday, Dr. Reddy said that it has rich history and culture and was the birth place of renowned poets, writers, musicians and singers. According to a press note issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, Dr. Reddy said he was more concerned about the welfare of the people and over all development of the State. Like developments programmes undertaken in other districts, Kadapa was also marching on the path of development with the Government earmarking Rs. 10,000 crores for various on going programmes, he added. He asserted that the Government was working towards providing employment to everybody and ensuring that poor people got two-square meals a day.
