‘Juvenile justice system must be aware of interests of minors’

CHENNAI: The juvenile justice system must be conscious of the interests of minors, and not technicalities, while dealing with cases, Justice P.D. Dinakaran of the Madras High Court has said.

Delivering the valedictory address at the end of the one-day orientation programme for Juvenile Justice Board functionaries here on Thursday, he said such an attitude would address the future development of the juvenile in conflict with law, said an official release. Minister for Social Welfare Poongothai Aladi Aruna called for a humane approach in such matters.
