FKCCI wants faster implementation of administrative reforms

BANGALORE: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) has recommended a speedy implementation of administrative reforms in the State for giving an impetus to the growth of commerce, industry and trade.

The recommendations include a wide array of fields, including infrastructure, administration, human resources management, power, judiciary, law and order, labour, agriculture and panchayat raj. These recommendations were finalised at the culmination of a seminar held recently in the city on “Administrative reforms for accelerated growth” held by the FKCCI

Removal of hurdles

The FKCCI has sought removal of administrative hurdles to speed up implementation of infrastructure projects which in turn will bring down the cost and time run over this enabling the State to get onto to faster growth rate.

The list of recommendations highlight the necessity of providing infrastructure before allotting land to industries and providing sustainable urban environmental systems for water, sewerage and solid waste management and treatment. It wants quick clearance of projects, time bound planning and completion to avoid cost escalation.

FKCCI president S.S. Patil told The Hindu that the administration should own the responsibility of ensuring accountability to all administrative decisions.
