Mumbai: The chairman of the RWITC Dr. Cyrus S.Poonawalla’s team won the majority of seats for the third time in a row, at the annual general meeting body meeting held on Thursday (Dec.20). Among the ten candidates contesting for the elections, Dr. Poonawalla was voted with the highest number of 649 votes. With the withdrawal of Dr. Vijay Mallya , two new candidates were elected Capt. Jamshed Appoo and Mr. Jaydev Mody. Dr. Poonawalla retains the Club’s Chairmanship and Mr. Vivek Jain is Chairman, Stewards Of The Club. The nine elected members of the Committee are: Dr. Cyrus S.Poonawalla (649 votes), Mr. Vivek Jain (633), Mr. Champaklal Zaveri (569 ), Dr. S.C.Jain (563 ), Mr. Shivlal Daga (490) , Capt.Jamshed Appoo (482 ), Mr. Shyam Ruia (462) , Mr. Jaydev Mody (455) and Mr. K.N.Dhunjibhoy (444). Following are the Board Of Appeal Members: Mr. A.S.Narielwala, Mr. D.N.Adenwalla, Mr. Kumar R.Dalal, Mr. Byram N.Jeejeebhoy, Mr. Satish L. Maneshinde and Mr. Zavaray S. Poonawalla.
