Federal Bank commences gold sales

CHENNAI: Federal Bank has launched the sale of bullion through its branches in Chennai and Coimbatore. Imported Suisse gold coins with 99.99 per cent purity is offered for sale in 5g, 8g, 20g and 50g. K. S. Mohan, Deputy General Manager of the Chennai region, introduced the sale of gold. R. Vijayalakshmi, director, Orchid Helathcare, made the first purchase at a function to launch the sale of gold. — Corporate Reporter
