KOZHIKODE: Host Kozhikode beat Palakkad 10-0 in a men’s preliminary league match in the State softball championship here on Friday.

The results (preliminary league): Men: Pool ‘A’: Alappuzha bt Kasaragod 11-0. Pool ‘B’: Pathanamthitta bt Thrissur 11-0. Pool ‘C’: Thiruvananthapuram bt Malappuram 6-0. Pool ‘D’: Kozhikode bt Palakkad 10-0; Kottayam bt Palakkad 10-3. Women: Pool ‘C’: Malappuram bt Pathanamthitta 28-16. Pool ‘D’: Thrissur bt Kottayam 11-8.
