Farmers urged to adopt integrated approach
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Farmers should adopt an integrated farming approach to balance the fluctuation in the market to sustain their income, National Agro Foundation chief executive officer R.I. Raghunathan said on Friday.
He was addressing the concluding session of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development-sponsored capacity building for adoption of technology (CAT) training programme at the Centre for Rural Development in Illedu in Kancheepuram district.
He appealed to the participants to play a pro-active role in motivating the farming community through farmers clubs. Shanthi Joshuva, Manager, NABARD, said the training programme was an opportunity for farmers to learn more about technology-based farming techniques.
