FESTIVE TIME: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy greets children at the Christmas celebrations at Jubilee Hall on Friday. HYDERABAD: As Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy entered the Jubilee Hall in Public Gardens on Friday evening, the choir sang ‘On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, a partridge in a pear tree’ those loveable lines from the song ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. Jubilee Hall and the adjacent lawns were decorated like never-before for the high tea hosted by the Chief Minister to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The sight of little children gaily-dressed-in-white holding bunches of flowers and the choir singing the slow, ‘Silent night, holy night’ had a calming effect to everyone sitting in the central hall. Dr. Reddy cut a huge cake and the MC, former GM, South Central Railway, T. Stanley Babu assured the gathering that they could all have their share of the Christmas cake.
