Affiliation to be cancelled: The University has decided to cancel the affiliation granted to two self-financing courses run by the TKM Engineering College, Kollam. The affiliation granted to the Mechanical Engineering (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) and the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Industrial Instrumentation and Control) courses will be cancelled with effect from 2007-08. The decision has been conveyed to the chairman of the college governing body.

Interview postponed: The interview for university assistant scheduled on December 29 has been postponed to February 1, 2008.

Revaluation: The date for revaluation of the answer sheets of the first and second semester B.Tech. examinations has been extended to December 27.

IDE examination: The PGDAP and PGDCAFC examinations of the Institute of Distance Education will be held from January 2, 2008 to January 5, 2008 at the University College, Thiruvananthapuram. The examinations will begin at 9.30 a.m.

MPA examination: Applications for the first semester MPA examinations scheduled to be held from January 21, 2008 can be submitted without fine till January 4, 2008 and with a fine of Rs.50 till January 7.

First semester P.G.: The eligibility certificates of candidates writing the first year P.G. examinations beginning in January 2008 should be submitted to the respective sections before January 2, 2008.

Contact classes: The final round of contact classes for the second year MBA course of the IDE will held at the IMK, Thiruvananthapuram and at the UIT, Kollam, on every second Saturday and on Sundays from January 6 to February 24, 2008. The classes for those who have registered at the UIT, Alappuzha, will be held at the UIT, Kollam. Further details can be had by sending an email to kscnair@india.com

LLB rank: V.S. Manjusha and V.S. Nimmi of the Kerala Law Academy Law College have received the first rank in the sixth semester (three year) LLB course examinations held in August 2007. The first rank in the 10th semester LLB (five year) examinations has gone to V. S. Viswanath of the Kerala Law Academy law College.

BDS: The results of the fourth BDS part-two examinations held in November have been published. The first rank goes to Priya Philip of the Government Dental College, Thiruvananthapuram. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till January 19.
