New checking system at airport

CHENNAI: A new security checking system has been introduced at the departure area of the Kamarajar domestic terminal. The Airports Authority of India officials said that under the arrangement, which came into effect on Thursday, security checks would be conducted on the first floor for the convenience of passengers.

On the inaugural day, passengers of Kingfisher, Jet and Indian Airlines flights underwent security check on the first floor.
