Rajasthan Patrika institutes award

Chennai: The Rajasthan Patrika media group has launched an international award for value-based journalism in honour of its founder Karpoor Chandra Kulish.

The KCK award, to be given annually, carries $11,000 and a trophy. For the inaugural year, the chosen theme is “Human Development.” Articles on this topic that were published in 2007 can be nominated for the competition before January 31, 2008. The jury includes The Hindu’s Editor-in-Chief N. Ram, Ogilvy and Mather India Executive Chairman Piyush Pandey, The Tribune’s Chief Editor H.K. Dua, the former IIM-Ahmedabad Director, Bakul Dholakia, as well as the Rajasthan Patrika MD, Gulab Kothari.
